Vladimir Kolev is coordinator of BOLD at the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee since May 2019. Before that, he worked in the European Public Health Alliance in Brussels on programmes related to Early Childhood Development, health in Roma communities, and the health status of newly arrived refugees, and moderated a working group on inequalities in access to health care.
Vladimir holds a university degree in Information Technology (IT) and has academic and professional experience in the field, including training in IT competencies for people from vulnerable groups, as a way to empower and engage them in social and economic life. He is currently studying in European Master’s Program for Gender Studies.
Vladimir has worked with children and young people from immigrant families, participated in language courses in a refugee camp, а solidarity center for the inclusion of disadvantaged people, as well as in a crisis center for homeless people. He has been part of many short and long-term Erasmus+ projects related to Human Rights, Diversity and participation in inclusive policies. He is very active in intersecting social and ecological causes and movements.
